FAQ

Your prices are very competitive. How can you keep your prices so low, and still use the highest quality parts?

Because our parent company, Wizard Computer Solutions, is so diverse (we fix computers, fill inkjet cartridges, and sell discount toner as well) we don’t need to make as much money off of each item or service we provide in order to survive as a business. This means we can lower our prices, and save you money while still using top quality parts.

I have heard from some competitors you don’t use as high of quality parts as they do.

That is simply not true. As I said previously “because our parent company, Wizard Computer Solutions, is so diverse (we fix computers, fill inkjet cartridges, and sell discount toner as well) we don’t need to make as much money off of each item or service we provide in order to survive as a business.” We assure you we use the highest quality parts available from anywhere.

I just dropped my phone in water, what should I do?

First off, please don’t try the “bag of rice” trick. It just doesn’t work. If you have a phone you can take the battery out of, then take the battery out right away, don’t even turn off the phone. Just take the battery out. Secondly, don’t use it. Just wipe it off with a paper towel. Don’t make calls, if it rings, don’t answer it. Don’t send text messages, try and turn it off, anything. Finally, and most importantly bring it in right away. Most cell phones are worth $500+! Don’t take a chance for the cost of having it done properly.

But my friend put his in a bag of rice, and it worked!

Then either water didn’t have the chance to get into the phone, or your friend got lucky. Luck happens. People have survived falls from 9th story windows and plane crashes. I remember my old style TV. A couple of times it went on the fritz and I just hit the side of it, and it started working again! If you can afford to take a chance with your phone then you can always try it, but once a phone stops working from water corrosion, the chances are very slim we will be able to get it working again.

Some of your competitors don’t like to, or won’t work on a phone I dropped in the toilet. Will you?

Let’s face it. Life happens, and sometimes dirty is just part of the job. Yes, I will work on your phone without judgment or complaint. Just please keep in mind, if there was any “stuff” in the toilet at the time, that can cause corrosion even faster so the urgency of brining it in right away is much much higher. Please let me know when you bring it in that it ended up there. Because of the higher risk of corrosion, I will need to get that phone apart right away!
